Role description

Reporting to the FAS Technical Director, the Head, Talent Identification is responsible for creating and implementing a Talent Identification program in Singapore.



Co-ordinate Talent Identification activities throughout Singapore


Work with Development Centre coaches to identify the better players in the U8/U10/U12 age groups


Develop relationships with private academy providers and identify the better players in the U8/U10/U12 age groups


Develop relationships with teachers/coaches (SFA and regular schools) to identify the better players in the U13 to U17 age groups


Develop relationships with SPL coaches to identify the better players in the U13 to U17 age groups


Identify potential national team players in all age groups from U13 to U23, both male and female


Identify potential Young Lions players for the following season


Develop a database of all young players in Singapore


Co-ordinate scouting activities for all part-time scouts/SFA coaches


Implement Talent ID training programs for prospective scouts


Job Specifications



Minimum AFC ‘B’ Coaching Diploma holder or equivalent


At least 2 years experience working at an elite level, preferably with experience in talent identification in Asia


Strong management, organisational, motivational, and strategising skills


Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
