Role description
We are CD Castellon, an historic Spanish Football club, competing in the 3rd tier of Spanish Football, Primera RFEF. We proudly celebrated our centenary last year, and in parallel, under new owner Bob Voulgaris, have set out ambitious plans for our future as a LaLiga team. We plan to succeed by boldly embracing innovative and disruptive ways of working which create competitive advantages, whilst honouring our historic past. To assist us on this journey, we are seeking a key position of Head of Stadium and Facilities.
Role Summary
We are looking for an individual to be responsible for effectively managing day to day operations across the stadium (Nou Castalia) and all the club’s facilities (including the training centre, warehouse and club offices).The Head of Stadium and Facilities will also be responsible for the planning, organisation and delivery of an exceptional matchday experience at the Nou Castalia Stadium.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure that the club’s stadium and facilities are operating effectively on a day to day basis.
Ensure all areas of matchday operations at Nou Castalia run as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Includes effective coordination with the relevant authorities such as the local council, security, medical services, national and local police. Management of all stadium staff to ensure an optimal matchday experience for our fans.
Identify projects and recommend the appropriate course of action to optimise cost effectiveness.
Define and create SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) documentation.
Prepare budgets for all operational aspects at Nou Castalia and the club’s facilities.Monitor and control costs.
Management and supervision of all external service providers for the general maintenance of the facilities, cleaning, pest control, etc.
Purchasing for the CD Castellón store, office supplies and the cleaning and laundry area, equipment and sports equipment.
Responsible for the appropriate access control and security at the facilities and stadium.
Be aware of the regulatory developments that the Club must comply with and take the pertinent steps to comply with the regulations.
Guarantee compliance with the law on Occupational Risk Prevention in all Club rooms and workplaces.
Coordinate your team's annual hiring, training, coaching and performance reviews.
Define and set clear goals and expectations to your staff and provide feedback for performance management.
Monitor and lead the progress of projects, ensuring that key requirements and milestones are met.
Knowledge and Education
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management or related field.
Proven leadership experience as operations manager in a stadium and/or related facilities.
Ability to accurately predict and stay within budgets.
Project management experience.
Knowledge of the legislative framework that governs sports clubs’ facilities management.
Strong knowledge and understanding of integrated enterprise resource planning software.
The position is in Castellon and requires living in Castellón or surroundings.
Availability to attend sporting events at weekends.
Driving licence.
Confident within amultilingual and multicultural environment.
