The Football Association [The FA] is the not-for-profit governing body of football in England. It is responsible for promoting and developing every level of the game, from grassroots through to the professional game, and generates significant revenue to support investment into English football each year.
The FA oversees England international teams acrossmen's, women's, youth and disability football, as well as running the National League System and FA Competitions including the Emirates FA Cup, Barclays FA Women's Super League, FAWomen's Championship, and Vitality Women's FA Cup, and the world-class facilities of Wembley Stadium and St. George's Park,all with a purpose to Unite the Game and Inspire the Nation.

Lead all domestic and international broadcast and media rights activities across the FA's portfolio of leagues and competitions including Emirates FA Cup, England teams and Barclays Women's Super League.
Rights Tender Leadership:
Strategically plan and execute all rights tender processes with cumulative values of $1billon, including;
Drafting of ITT documents
Building multi-platform rights packages
Negotiating sales through to contractual conclusion, in order to deliver the maximum reach and revenue
Broadcast Relationship Management:
Drive a step change in how The FA manage direct broadcaster relationships globally with a view to;
Building annual marketing and tailor-made content plans which deliver long term value
Adopt a progressive media approach with a focus on both existing and emerging platforms
Lead The FA's over the top (OTT) platform:
Lead strategic direction and delivery of The FA's over the top (OTT) platform; The FA Player.
Identify future opportunities to drive direct to consumer engagement as part of a broader rights distribution plan
Drive content plan
Functionality roadmap e.g. monetisation, distribution and platform stability
Operational Management (Production):
Oversee account management of key domestic broadcast partners and ensure effective contractual delivery, including competition scheduling. Collaborate to build audience share, promotional opportunities and awareness of competitions
Drive an innovation agenda to unlock incremental media rights focussed revenue opportunities
Work with content, insight and marketing teams on FA reserved rights - exploiting these rights and building out an international engagement platform for driving global audiences to consume FA published content, and promotion towards broadcasters
Oversee procurement of production partners and development of the content offering to all international rights partners
Support the team in delivery of all broadcast operations; contracts, relationships, delivery and stakeholder management
Secure maximum revenue from ancillary rights, such as archive and audio
Grow digitalisation and exploitation of archive content library
Understand key industry and consumer trends that will influence the sector in the future, across technology, platform, production and distribution
Multi-million pound budget management
Lead annual business planning for broadcast, and contribute to the broader commercial plans
Lead and coach a team to further develop and build capability within the division and broader business
Executeadditional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities
Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained
What we are looking for
A deep understanding of media rights and their value, with experience of negotiating and structuring rights packages.
A track record of successfully partnering with UK and global distributors, including terrestrial, Pay-TV, and Direct to Consumer OTT platforms, ensuring their needs are exceeded and relationships deliver long term value.
Experience of developing and delivering successful OTT & D2C strategies.
Experience of leading and developing a team to deliver against its objectives.
Expert understanding of broadcasting rights industry with global network across broadcasters, rights holders and agencies
Ability to build long lasting business relationships with senior level stakeholders across the media and broadcasting landscape
Proven track record of end-to-end media rights distribution including contractual delivery and scheduling
An understanding of partner value and the levers which they employ to maximise ROI i.e. subscription businesses, social media revenue models, general broadcaster monetisation
High level of commercial awareness with the ability to identify wider opportunities which can maximise revenue
Sales and acquisition experience for sports/ entertainment content
Expert negotiator and problem solver
Accomplished communication and presentation skills
Experience of building and managing a team

Please be aware that unless you are on ahomebased contract, your contract with The FA will specify a fixed location of either Wembley Stadium, St. George's Park or our Processing Centre.
We currently work within a hybrid working model whereby the expectation is to work from your contractual location for part of the week, and as and when required by the team. The remaining days can be worked remotely. We will continue to monitor this model and it may be adjusted in future if deemed necessary.
