Role description

The Head of Inclusion & Cohesion will be responsible for facilitating positive personal, social, physical and emotional development amongst programme/activity participants, plus increasing levels of social inclusion and community cohesion within High Wycombe and the surrounding areas. These outcomes will be achieved via the high quality planning, practical delivery, management and expansion of a number of new and existing activities/ programmes that focus on engagement with people of all ages who are:

• Vulnerable/at risk of becoming involved in criminal behaviour, as well as those already committing offences;
• Currently disengaged or isolated from their peers/community;
• Struggling to achieve their potential due to the personal and/or social issues they face.

The Head of Inclusion & Cohesion, who will also sit on our Senior Management Team, will be the operational lead for our Inclusion & Cohesion Department. The post-holder will be responsible for the high quality planning, practical delivery, management and expansion of all WWSET’s new and existing Inclusion & Cohesion activities/ programmes – not least the Premier League Kicks programme – all of which broadly seek to achieve tangible outcomes for members of our community in the following areas:

• Develop essential life skills
• Maximise individual potential
• Promote understanding and tolerance
• Tackle pertinent social and community issues, particularly those concerned with crime
