Role description


Located in Essex, M.R.F.A. provides players with the consistency, quality and dedication that they need to flourish. We’re incredibly proud of the fact that we have six members of staff that are UEFA B qualified or higher, which is more than most professional academies.

We run technical development coaching (Development Groups) and higher tier coaching to elite players who hold potential to be in a professional club (Advanced Academy). Outside of this, M.R.F.A. run holiday courses at three locations in Essex every half-term and offer extra incentives such as birthday parties, 1:1 coaching sessions and Pre-Academy classes for our younger stars.


Formerly a part of the M.R.F.A. group, Primary Education now operates as a separate entity. We provide outstanding physical education in a number of primary schools across Essex; including curriculum provision, training to upskill staff within these schools, and extra-curricular clubs and holiday camps at their schools.


A proactive approach to coaching/teaching and developing young players.

Understanding M.R.F.A.'s business as a whole, particularly your area of speciality (Holiday Courses in this instance).

Confident in developing strong relationships with parents and teachers/schools and local grassroots clubs in promoting M.R.F.A.'s business.

Recognising and analysing players' strengths and weaknesses and be able to write high-level player reports with goal-sets for individual players.


Lead the organisation and planning of all Holiday Courses in all locations, including;
coordinating staff to ensure they attend on the correct days
coordinating with venues and suppliers, such as print companies, trophies and equipment
work closely with Digital Marketing Manager to create the content and promotion plan, including leaflets, website, email marketing and social media
proactively come up with new and creative activities and ideas, including themes, that we can incorporate
Act as a role model and sounding board for other members of staff, as well as line manage one member of staff
Work closely with Assistant Manager’s and provide strategic support where needed, including coordinating staff, organising registers, equipment and assessing other staffs’ performance.
Coach at our Development Centres, Advanced Academy, and plan sessions using Sports Session Planner, and write player reports and goal set for individual players
Lead an age group as part of our sister club (FC Evolution)

P.E./school sports delivery

Lead P.E. lessons and school clubs, ensuring Primary Education’s syllabus and curriculum is adhered to
Work with the Head of Education to ensure lessons are delivered at the necessary standard
Act as a role model and sounding board for other members of staff, holding them accountable for delivery on their action points


Liaise directly and build close relationships with grassroots clubs locally and on a wider scale
Proactively suggest networking events to attend to enhance your connection base and represent the M.R.F.A. brand
Run/host events/festivals when required


Ambitious and proactive in personal development
Excellent communication – written and verbal
Ability to work to deadlines and deliver under pressure
Able to manage time to an excellent standard
Ability to work across multiple teams of people (marketing/schools/holiday courses/academy)
Minimum Level 2 coaching, working towards Level 3 in coaching (UEFA B)
Hold additional coaching qualifications linked to other sports
Completed or completing FA Youth Modules 1&2

19-22K basic salary
