Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Act as a key member of the Senior Management Media team, developing strategy and ensuring effective execution of the Football (Sports Management) team
Lead strategy on Football (Sports Management). Devise, implement and execute global/regional strategy, process, metrics, team and revenue plans to achieve revenue and retention targets
Embed and drive the Football strategic vision to achieve the growth plans for the media business
Established Football background to understand and expand into international markets, identifying key opportunities and strategizing to maximize on those growth opportunities
Identify new business opportunities as a result of new entrants, changing technology and/or delivery systems and develop sales strategies targeted specifically to address these specialized needs.
Transform the Football business into a broader future state, with a focus on the new value proposition for clients and rights holders including alignment with our Digital team on digital transformation
Thorough understanding and ability to advise clients on the strategy, valuation, negotiation, and distribution of sports media rights domestically and internationally across all media platforms and new technologies
Contributes thought leadership and innovation that influences change and advancement of the industry and the IMG Media client portfolio
Execution and management of IMG Media Sports Management strategic plan
Provide strong leadership, set the tone for establishing strategic cadence for the senior leadership team and the Football Business
Align with the Media and Events Leadership team and wider Endeavor partners to leverage and maxmise client offerings
Management of the Football P&L
Uses Commercial insight to guide lead and develop the Football Rights offering which provides maximum consumption with a focus on audience impact
Understand and capitalise on the changing landscape of Media rights and delivery
Extensive domestic and international travel will be required
Knowledge and Experience
An accomplished and considered senior executive, highly experienced in managing global teams
An established entrepreneur and commercial professional, with a strong track record of consistent growth.
Strong knowledge and understanding of the media rights landscape
A relationship management expert, proven experience of effectively managing key business relationships with senior partners, both internally and externally.
A senior leader; highly skilled in team management and driving effective change where required
A proven strategist, with demonstrable history of implementing solid, achievable and successful business plans.
Proven and established experience of building strong global teams
Experience with clients in key markets
Strong understanding of data insights and audiences/ consumer behavior – across digital and traditional media
Extensive experience of sports rights distribution within the media industry
Skills and Abilities
Strong presentation skills – must be confident and capable of presenting to internal and external key stakeholders
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and within tight deadlines
Highly organised and capable of managing time-critical projects
Strong commercial acumen
Excellent negotiation skills
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people
Computer literacy to a high standard of the following software packages: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
This is a permanent position.
Please note this role will be based at our offices in Chiswick Park, London.
Working hours are 9:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday
May be required to attend (and travel to) locations, including other IMG buildings and meetings
Unsocial hours, dictated as and when by the demands of the business schedule
