The Head of Employee Relations will contribute to this mission by leading the global strategic implementation of employee relations, policies, and employment contracts across CFG and its clubs.
This role will take a trusted ER function and scale it globally, delivering through a small team of ER professionals and third-party support. We have a strong track record in managing employee relations in a supportive, pragmatic, and commercial manner but this role will help us to evolve these procedures into being more data and insight driven, and manager led.
A number of our people policies are already progressive and we want to see this trend continue. The Head of Employee Relations will have the scope to implement forward thinking and innovative approaches to ensure that our global policies provide compliance and rigour whilst also promoting a positive working environment.
We have a solid bank of employment contracts that are both compliant and commercially robust. This role will lead the continuous improvement and management of contracts for the Group.

Your Impact
Develop and implement best practice employee relations procedures and documentation, allowing for international adoption across our global clubs.
Act as a point of escalation for complex ER cases or appeals in the UK, and own protocols for the management of high-profile cases globally.
Be accountable for the horizon scanning of future employment law changes, driving the upskill of managers and the ER team so that they can act appropriately in this area. Understand internal trends and proactively mitigate against future potential staffing issues.
Own the terms of reference for the CFG Employee Relations Steering Committee, working with senior leaders to drive the strategic direction of employee relations, policies and contracts for Group. Deliver policies and procedures which are in-line with the strategic direction of the steer co and can be deployed globally.
Enhance the use of employee relations metrics, making data and insight driven decisions based on known internal and external trends.
Ensure legal compliance in employment-related contracts are representative of the CFG brand and EVP. Own the development of contracts so that they can mitigate commercial risks to the Group as they arise.
Own the relationship with, and project manage, a number of third-party providers who will provide day-to-day and strategic support to the CFG ER function.
Lead a small team of dedicated ER professionals to allow them to develop in their roles and continuously grow their knowledge and careers.
Work closely with our Equality, Diversity Inclusion team to guarantee our ER processes, policies, and procedures are inclusive and representative for every single one of our colleagues.
What we are looking for
Essential
The ability to lead and manage complex employee relations cases.
A toolkit of best practice approaches to employee relations.
A deep understanding of UK employment law.
Extensive experience of delivering UK based people policies.
Experience of delivering people policies in global organisations.
An understanding of how to deploy best-practice employment contracts.
A successful track record of managing employee relations or HR teams.
Proven ability to manage and collaborate with third-party organisations so that they can support the delivery of a strategic ER agenda.
A history of working with a diverse customer group, across commercial, corporate, and operational business areas.
CIPD qualified, a degree in Human Resources Management, or equivalent experience.
Desirable
Knowledge of international employment law.
An understanding of project management methodology.
The ability to speak multiple languages, particularly Spanish, French, Italian, or Portuguese.
Experience of working in broader HR generalist roles
