About The Role
Leicester City Football Club Academy are seeking an outstanding individual with extensive experience across Academy football and a proven track record in player development to lead or football programme.
Based at Leicester City Football Club new world-class Training Ground, this role will work in collaboration with all Academy departments/age groups and build on the Academies long history of player development. By further developing and implementing aleading-edgeprogramme this role will ensure our young people areFirst Team Readyand can transition from the Academy to our First Team.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have worked across all age groups of Academy football for over 10 years and be able to demonstrate their impact in the development of players from a category one Academy environment to established First Team players.
Working as part of the Academy Management Team and in collaboration with the Head of Coach Development and Academy Manager you will have overall responsibility for the football programme U9-U18. With a specific focus on the individual and technical aspects of player development this role will ensure that the programme in place provides young players with the opportunity to develop the required attributes to progress through the pathway. The role will also be responsible for working with the coaches to manage the pathway of individuals ensuring they receive the right level of challenge and success.
Whilst the role will involve a significant amount of leadership and management the successful individual will still be required to spend time on the grass using their experience working with coaches and players.
