You’ll manage the Manchester City Football School – Amateur Academy in Albania. The Head Coach will ensure agreed key objectives are met for both Manchester City and the Partner by delivering the Club’s footballing philosophy and methodology and by managing the development of the initiative both on and off the pitch.



The role will require an understanding of how Manchester City develop and educate players of all ages and abilities, and coaches, and will require detailed planning, delivery and reviewing across a variety of different programs.



The successful candidate will be required to relocate to the specific territory to fulfil the role and offered a competitive salary and other benefits.

Your Impact

Manage all the on-field aspects associated with the delivery of a MCFC program. The coaching philosophy, methodology and principles of Manchester City are integrated into the delivery of the recreational – Amateur Academy program in Albania.
Direct line management responsibility of the coaching Team (Assistant coaches and local support coaches)
Manage the Quality assurance of the programs with our partner in Albania ensuring the project KPI’s are met and reported monthly to both MCFC and the partner in Albania.
To provide direct input and support to the partner on all the Football product messaging, marketing, and promotions of the program in Albania.
Develop a Coach Education program for internal staff and external coaches to manage, mentor and motivate all relevant football coaching staff.
Development of all football requirements with the partner in Albania that clearly identifies the short, medium, and long-term goals for the program in alignment with the Manchester City.
Work in a collaborative manner with both the partner and Manchester City FE team on all the operations, logistics and admin requirements to successfully deliver a professional program in Albania.
To communicate project updates on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis on the progress of the recreational Football School – Amateur Academy in Albania.




What we are looking for

Essential

Hold a UEFA ‘B’ Coaching License.
FA Youth Coaching Award or education in football development.
Sports Education, Coach Education, Teaching and/ or management equivalent Qualification
An ability to collaborate with stakeholders (students, parents/carers, staff and wider community personnel and organisations) to plan for successful student engagement.
An ability to be dynamic and flexible in the delivery of the program, understanding the nature of the working environment and be able to work autonomously with little direction or supervision.
The ability to create a positive working environment that represents the image of both Manchester City and the local partner in Albania.
The ability to plan and prepare a project from conception to implementation, including the ability to demonstrate leadership and management skills to ensure the development and management of a project.
The ability to manage, train, and develop individual coaches and staff.
To be proficient and pro-active in preparing and recording documents to support the coaching, reviewing the project, and communicating and/ or presenting to others internally and externally.
To have the ability to work collaboratively to solve problems immediately and to then recommend options to ensure the success of the program.
Commitment to meet quality standards and the willingness to update personal skills and knowledge on a regular basis.
To have had experience in either Coach Education, Teaching and management with adults and children
To have experience implementing and developing a football coaching syllabus internationally for all ages including developing teams.
To understand player pathways and the development process of individual players.
To have experience in Football Development from both community and elite football initiatives.
To have the experience and awareness in creating and implementing revenue opportunities.
