ROLE DESCRIPTION

Unleash The Roar! is about building the Singapore football ecosystem that will serve to inspire and unite the nation. Co-led by SportSG and the Football Association of Singapore, it is about the journey that will establish football as a sport with high participation, high performance regionally and internationally, and an economically viable professional career.

The NDC, under the supervision of FAS, aims to develop future Singapore National Team players who will not only represent Singapore but also raise the level of our National Teams. Players attending the FAS/UTR NDC will train on a regular basis and in addition represent their clubs in the Singapore Youth League.

As part of the coaching team, you will be part of a dynamic team of coaches responsible for the delivery of an elite level in this footballing journey.

In this role, you will:

Design age-appropriate sessions aimed at improving players’ performance in line with the FAS Playing Philosophy
Oversee squads on matchdays and at tournaments and ensure that teams try to implement a playing style that reflects the FAS Playing Philosophy
Deliver age-appropriate and enjoyable sessions aimed at improving players’ performance in line with the FAS Playing Philosophy
Undertake video analysis sessions aimed at ensuring optimum development from both an individual and team perspective
Work closely with the FAS Head of Talent ID to identify suitable players for NDC and implement the agreed trial process
Work with assistant coaches and support staff to ensure all staff contribute purposefully to sessions
Requirements

Experience working with potentially elite young players in the U12 to U16 age range at both a professional level and, ideally, with National Youth Teams
Asian Football Confederation (AFC) A Licence or equivalent preferred
Valid National Registry of Coaches (NROC) membership preferred
Ability to utilise performance analysis software
Ability to work and collaborate as part of a team
High level of communication skills (written & spoken)
Adequate presentation skills and IT knowledge
Present a good role model for players/other coaches
