Position Title: Head Coach, Junior Academy (Grassroots)Reports to: Technical LeadLevel: Technical StaffTerm/Start Date: Annual, Commencing Immediately
Position Overview:The Blue Devils Football Club is seeking highly motivated head coaches to lead our competitive academy teams, both male and female, for opportunities within our Junior Academy program. The primary responsibility of the head coach will be to lead ongoing implementation of the BDFC technical plan and club curriculum. This position oversees all aspects of team operations including on-field training, leading competitive matches, player tracking and off-field management.
Our academy program operates on a year-round model with a total structured training schedule of four days a week: Training (3) times training and (1) game/festival.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Provide technical coaching in alignment with the BDFC technical plan and player pathway Plan and execute on-field sessions Lead teams in competitive matches and tournaments, including travel Responsible for the management of support staff, team manager and assistant coach Work alongside club Technical Lead on player development Communicate directly on a regular basis with Technical Lead Provide structured player evaluations/feedback meetings twice a year
Experience: Experience in working with ages u6-u12 as a team head coach or assistant coach Experience with Academy Soccer Coach interactive session planning software Experience in creating technical resources
Training and Qualifications: Minimum of Grassroots certification specific to age group (Fundamentals u6-u9, Learn to Train u9-u12) NCCP Requirements – Making Headway, Respect in Soccer, Making Ethical Decisions, Rule of Two Vulnerable Sector Screening/Police Check (Valid within the last 2 years)
