In the role youll ensure Man City and Emerging Talent loan players transitions, physical development and wellbeing is effectively supported and aligned to their Individual Development Plans with specific responsibility for leading return to play protocols for injured players.
Youll Support the delivery of Group performance strategy focused on creating engaging performance environments which, maximise players long-term athletic development.

Your Impact
1) Emerging Talent Man City Loan Players Physical Development:

Build influential relationships with identified players and theirloan club performance teams to ensure that evidence informed physical performance and nutritional programmes focused individuals long-term development are implemented
Ensure all players key physical performance and wellbeing markers are consistently monitored
Support the monitoring of players physical development and performance to ensure they remain on track to achieve their individual development goals
Deliver pre-season training programmes and testing as required at City Football Academy or elsewhere in the UK or overseas
Provide remote and onsite SC support to loan players as required
Drive lifestyle support to ensure players maintain effective performance habits


2) Central Rehab Return to Play Protocols for Emerging Talent Man City Loan Players

Work closely with the Rehab Physiotherapist to design and deliver rehab protocols for injured loan players
Support loan Clubs to deliver good and effective rehab and return to play protocols for injured loan players
Deliver central rehab and return to play protocols at CFA Manchester for long-term injured loan players


3) Supporting CFG Best Practice:

Support the continuous improvement of CFG Clubs performance systems as directed by Head of Physical performance to:
Sustain an evidence-informed multidisciplinary team approach to player development and performance
Deliver safe and effective injury rehabilitation and return to training programmes
Provide evidence-informed individual physical development programmes
Effectively adapt individuals daily training and playing workloads using monitoring data
Provide excellent SC coaching
Provide effective nutritional support to ensure players are appropriately fuelled for training, recovery and match performance
Drive lifestyle support to ensure players maintain effective performance habits

What we are looking for
Essential
Knowledge

Postgraduate degree in a field related to physical performance
UKSCA or equivalent industry accreditation
Knowledge of strength conditioning plus the physical preparation and recovery of elite sports teams.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels

Experience

Experience leading and delivering return to play programs.
Experience of applied practice and rehab in elite sport


Desirable
Knowledge

Knowledge of movement and nutritional screening in elite sporting populations


Skills

Fluent in one or more of the following languages:

Spanish
Portuguese
French
Italian

Experience of applied practice in professional football
