A vacancy has arisen for a graphic designer to join the team at AFC Bournemouth.

Role overview 
Reporting to the Head of Brand and Creative, the main responsibility of the Editorial Graphic Designer is to design the AFC Bournemouth matchday programme using content provided by the in-house media team.
The secondary role is to support the design team and complete tasks and projects from the design and brand task-list.
The successful applicant will have passion for layout design be able to work independently in a very deadline driven role as well as being equally comfortable working within the design team and contributing to the evolution of the club’s visual identity.
On a day-to-day basis, this role will involve taking content created by the AFC Bournemouth media team and providing exciting layout solutions that fit within the programme style for that season and the club’s brand guidelines.
The Editorial Graphic Designer will also be comfortable providing a design solution from initial brief stage to finalised concept, executed to a high standard ready for print and digital circulation.
The Graphic Design team provide design solutions for all departments involved at the football club, including the Junior Cherries, Community Sports Trust, Hospitality Events, AFC Business and the club’s Commercial and Media teams; Whilst providing this support, they will work within the AFC Bournemouth brand guidelines and maintain the visual standards and style set by the design team.
KEY AREAS
Design matchday programme 
Work to deadline dictated by home fixtures to design the programme for matches played by the club’s Men’s First Team and throughout the a season, a handful of fixtures played at Vitality Stadium featuring AFC Bournemouth’s Under 21s and Women’s Team.
Support design team requirements Work daily from the design team task-list on jobs assigned by the Head of Design and Brand.
Maintain visual identity Design the matchday programme and other assets whilst adhering to the brand guidelines and using the bespoke club assets available.
Essential requirements 
Must be comfortable using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
A background and passion for editorial or layout design would benefit the applicant.
The successful applicant will have completed higher education qualification (either HND or degree) in a graphic design related course and ideally have at least one year’s industry experience.
The role is a full-time position based at Vitality Stadium. It would be advantageous to have some knowledge of AFC Bournemouth and the English football environment, but not essential.
