Description
Reporting into the Head of Performance Coaching, with a dotted line into the Head of Coach Education and Development, this role will provide goalkeeping coaching expertise to the Football Department for the national representative teams, the interaction and development of club personnel, the performance schools, and the general development of goalkeeping coaching initiatives.
In addition the job holder will support the development and delivery of goalkeeping coach education and development.
The ideal candidate will have experience of youth player development and goalkeeping coaching at an elite youth level, and of delivering coach development programmes and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, develop and coach selected players in the national programme and plan goalkeeping coaching sessions and lead these during any event under the direction of the Head of Performance Coaching.
Act as a Goalkeeping Coach Mentor on site at clubs over a set number of days per month to develop selected club coaches as part of the Performance Coach mentoring programme.
Create a goalkeeping 'pool' of coaches and manage their involvement in the Performance School programme.
Support the overall delivery of all aspects of the goalkeeping coach education and development programme in line with relevant Scottish FA plans.
