FC Hertta ry is a special football club that focuses on the activities of girls and women. The club operates in the Joensuu region and cooperates with other football clubs in the region. Guidance and coaching are carried out by trained and mostly hired personnel. When selecting the club's employees for coaching, equal opportunities are offered to women, especially to the club's athletes from the women's and youth teams. Here, FC Hertta deviates from the national average, where only six percent of football coaches are women.

The number of players is 200-250 depending on the season. The principle of hobby activities is responsibility and sustainability. Most of the enthusiasts are minors. Supporting their well-being and growth is FC Hertank's responsibility. The "Girls first" idea means that we support the growth of as many children and young people as possible by offering them the experience of belonging to a group and being meaningful. In addition to healthy growth and friendships, it is possible to develop as a competitive athlete if there is enough interest. Exercising with a lower intensity is also possible. The women's representative team and the futsal team play in national leagues. The adult teams support the club's youth development opportunities by offering practice and game opportunities for juniors as well.
