Role description
Hibernian Community Foundation are now recruiting for the position of Girls Community Manager. This role includes the management of the Hibernian Girls Academy and incorporates outreach across the Community.
Status: 20 hours per week, Permanent
Location: Edinburgh & East Lothian
Salary: £10,000 PA

Job Purpose
Grow participation in Hibernian Community Foundation Girl’s & Women’s pathway.
The Academy Manager will have overall responsibility for the management of the Hibernian
Community Foundation Girls Academy and player development programme from aged 3 to
Under 18s and recreational activity.
The Post holder will attend training and gamedays involving the academy to support players
and coaching staff.
The post holder will have lead responsibility for the creation and implementation of detailed
development plans including long term player development plans that are consistent with
the core values of the Foundation and the playing ethos of the Academy.
The post holder will also co-ordinate the provision of specialist services across the Academy
and outreach leading to academy recruitment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Recruitment and Management of Hibernian Community Girls Academy Staff
Attend training sessions and matchdays involving Hibernian CF Girls Academy
Ensure safety of players and staff within activity
Manage academy coach activity including In-service events, CPD and appraisals.
Co-ordinate player recruitment and movement within the Academy in line with coaching
staff, maintaining a person-centred approach.
Annual assessment of academy, community outreach and introduction to football activity
Monitor administration of matches, ensuring efficient communication to participants,
parents and organisations.
Design, deliver and implement a detailed assessment for all age groups and coaches,
ensuring this is implemented by coaching staff
Support recruitment and delivery of holiday camp activity to players at Hibernian CF
Develop recreational activity and women’s based initiatives at Hibernian CF.
Ensure appropriate provision across academy pathway in goalkeeping, sports science,
physiotherapy, and performance analysis
Co-ordinate fundraising activity for Hibernian Girls Community Academy Squads
Develop and maintain strong working relationships between the Academy, player and
family.
Ensure all coaches read, understand, and implement the Academy Code of Conduct for
Coaches and Child Protection procedures provided by Academy Child Protection Officer.
Knowledge & Experience
Experience of working with and supporting staff and other stakeholders
Experience of co-ordinating activity for large numbers of people
Experience within Scottish Women football
Experience of developing community programmes / outreach
High levels of customer service, responding to queries, promises and expectations are met
Essential Qualifications
UEFA C Licence (or working towards)
Safeguarding Qualification
First Aid Qualification
Enhanced PVG Check
Clean Driving Licence
Desirable Qualifications
Strong Leadership and Management Skills
Good Communication skills
Ability to work in team environment
Some Experience within an SWPL environment
A good understanding of coaching and coaching development
Experience in Talent Identification and Recruitment
A good level of computer literacy
