ABOUT THE ROLE

Based in Sydney, this role is a key leadership role across all Football Australia's Men's National Teams. Reporting to and collaborating with the Head of National Teams, this role is directly responsible for overseeing the strategic, operational & administrative/logistical requirements and activities for Football Australia’s men's national teams and successfully plan and manage the team budgets and overall annual team/match schedules.



Duties & Responsibilities:

Aligned with the Football Australia Strategy & Vision, contribute to the development and implementation of a National Football Strategic plan that is clearly communicated and understood within the men's national teams
Manage the development and delivery of performance reports and benchmarking activities and ensure key performance planning and metrics are in place to measure success.
In consultation with the Head of National Teams, each Head Coach and Team Managers, develop forecasts and manage the team operational budgets while ensuring expenditure remains aligned with approved amounts.
Maintain strong and cooperative relations with all stakeholders, particularly and importantly, domestic and international clubs, other Member Associations, FIFA, AFC, AOC, AFF, Sport Australia, the PFA, sponsors and/or commercial partners, media and other Member Confederations (where and if applicable).
In collaboration with the respective Head Coaches, lead, manage and develop a high performing team, ensuring regular consistent feedback that contributes to the ongoing growth and success within the team.
Set the standard for High Performance, reflecting the Football Australia values and demonstrate leadership qualities that are fostered across National Team staff and players.
Implement and adhere to the CBA and positively engage with the PFA

ABOUT YOU



Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

Tertiary qualifications or minimum 5 to 7 years industry experience with primary focus on sport (team) management and operational planning and implementation
Understanding of the Men’s football landscape and culture domestically and internationally
Extraordinary project management skills and ability to multi-task.
Outstanding budgetary management experience and skills.
Ability to positively influence and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders across all levels of the sport, including the Football Australia business
Demonstrated understanding of the objectives and principles relating to elite player development and creating high performance environments
Demonstrated experience and participation at international sporting tournaments and/or competitions.
Maintain calmness when under-pressure or placed in a high-risk situation

Additional Requirements:

Full working rights in Australia
Working with children check (paid/employee) or state-based equivalent
International Criminal History Record for each country (other than Australia) in which you have resided for 12 months or more in the last 10 years (if applicable)
Out of hours and weekend work as required
Intra, interstate and international travel, and infrequent travel to politically unstable and 'medium to high risk' countries
Operating across several international time zones
