For the research and development activities of the Finnish Football Association.

As a game analysis expert, your task with game analysis information is to help you achieve a strategic and coaching competitive advantage in the Finnish Football Association and member clubs.
In your role, you provide added value to the player development processes of the Finnish Football Association and clubs by passing on key information about the performance of the game to coaching and management personnel.
The work consists of four main areas:
On the game development monitoring of Finnish national teams
On the development of game analysis methods for the Huuhkaja and Helmaripolu to be offered to clubs
On the design and implementation of game analysis training
On the systematic monitoring of international game development trends.
Both qualitative and quantitative game analysis methods are applied in the task. You will be able to communicate comprehensibly, orally and in writing, to various stakeholders (coaching and management staff) about your work.
The position requires an appropriate undergraduate degree and experience in applying video and game analysis methods as part of a coaching process in targeted football environments. You are familiar with a wide range of applicable camera technologies, analysis software (e.g. Dartfish, MyVideoAnalyzer) and data management practices. You master the basics of computational game data processing and imaging in any suitable software language (eg R, Python) and visualization tool (eg PowerBI, Tableau). You are also familiar with MS-Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
The position is located in Helsinki, but enables the main telework. The nature of the work includes occasional evening and weekend work. The work may involve occasional travel. The employment is valid for the time being.
