Job Title: Football Scout

Job Purpose:

LionHeart Football have recently developed The Player ID Platform, a revolutionary platform for young football players to be identified by scouts at professional clubs.

This team member will be responsible for supporting our growing scouting department and fulfill scout reports and analysis to players on the platform.

The reports to be conducted will either be Online or Live.

Online Scout Report: The player sends in match footage, and receives a scout report with video highlights and statistics.

Live Scout Report: The player requests a scout to attend and film the match, and receives a scout report with video highlights and statistics.

This is a freelance role, and working hours are determined based on the volume of scout reports requested by player users.

Salary: £20 per game for Online Scout Reports, £35 per game for Live Scout Reports

Key Responsibilities:

To attend and film matches around the South London, Surrey and Sussex area, using a Veo camera.
To conduct detailed scout reports providing feedback on a player’s strengths and areas of improvement, and suggest an appropriate action plan to support the player’s development.
Produce video highlights of the player in line with our video analysis structure.
Collect statistical inputs from the match and present these in the scout report.
Uploading scout reports and video highlights onto The Player ID Platform, for the player to review.

BSc Sports Science or Sports Related Degree - D
FA Level 1 in Coaching Football or equivalent - D
FA Level 1 in Talent Identification - E
Valid FA Safeguarding Children Certificate - E
Valid Basic First Aid for Sport Certificate - E
Hold an Enhanced DBS Check - E
Full Driving License with Access to a Car – D
Experience & Knowledge:

A minimum of 1 year experience working in football scouting or analysis.
Experience working with analysis software (Nacsport, Sportscode).
Excellent understanding of talent identification and player development.
Excellent understanding of key elements of individual football techniques.
High level competency (MS Office Essential)

Personable and enthusiastic with a very strong work ethic to set high standards.
An ability to adapt quickly, be flexible in the face of change and solution orientated.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure.

Monitor potential safeguarding risks and work with the LionHeart Football management team to promote a safer working practice throughout.
