Role SummaryThe role of the Football Operations Assistant is to be responsible for all operational and logistical matters related to the club’s first team and development squads. The individual will be based at the club’s training ground, working closely with the Sporting Director, Head Coach, and Club Football Secretary to ensure operational efficiency.Key Job Outcomes • Assist in the planning of first team and development squad weekly schedules and communicate to relevant stakeholders.• Manage the relationship with the Club’s external caterers in relation to players’ food.• Player Liaison duties, including but not limited to induction an acclimatisation.• Assist in the scheduling and transportation of medical appointments where required.• Manage the safeguarding & welfare of first team staff & players • Procurement of kit/equipment/sundries.• Assist in the organisation of the first team away travel & hotels.• Responsible for daily logging and updating of player FA whereabouts.• Manage player appearances, working closely with key stakeholders to plan and source player availability for such requests.• Day-to-day training ground management, assisting in the continuous development of the site. • Manage relationships with local resident groups.• Liaise with external training ground cleaning contractors. • Ensuring health & safety compliance at the training ground.• Liaise with ground staff regarding training pitch use and maintenance schedules.• Be a key holder with responsibility for the security of the site.• Lead on first-team player and management ticketing arrangements on a game-by-game basis.• Assist with the staging of Youth Team games for, Under 16’s and Under 18’s.• Host and arrange player/family events.• Be contactable out of hours.• Assist with the Club’s Head of Communications in relation to press conferences and general press requests. • Manage essential and non-essential first team and development squad player workshops.• Oversee the management of player housing. • Provide assistance and support to the Club Secretary and Head of Academy Operations as and when required.• Assist first team management and provide administrational support as and when required. • Attendance at all home fixtures.
