Are you looking to develop a career in sport development and football?* Our Football Development Intern position is a role developed in conjunction with The Football Association (FA), and the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS), and might be for you.*
The Football Development Intern position is a fixed term 9 month role (September to June). This is an opportunity for someone who is looking to develop a career in sport development and football, supporting the development of the sport at the University.
In your role, you will actively develop ways to promote and increase engagement in Football at the University of Brighton, through recreational, turn-up and play, coached, and intramural activity, including the utilisation of new and innovative opportunities. The role will also include community development opportunities.
The position will provide direct and relevant experience, enabling you to utilise the skills and knowledge you will have gained on your undergraduate degree course. Working in a project based way, with clearly defined outcomes you will be provided with developmental opportunities, supporting you as you work towards gaining additional sector specific qualifications.
In order to be successful in this role you will have:

Knowledge of developing projects, events, programme promotion, and methods to evaluate impact and effectiveness
Good communication skills to liaise with University students, on campus sports clubs, and local sporting organisations.
Experience of working with and/or supporting volunteers
Knowledge of the organisation and administration sports fixtures
This is a part-time role, open to recent University of Brighton graduates and current students, on a fixed-term contract for 9 months, and will be supported by a 90% fee waiver to study a Masters degree at the University of Brighton, with the successful candidate required to pay the final 10% of this fee.
