Role description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced candidate to join RDP in the role of Football Development Coordinator. This is an excellent role for someone who wants to assist with the long-term vision of Norwich City Football Club and its Regional Development Programme (RDP). The Football Development Coordinator will be the lead coordinator for various projects and programmes across Suffolk through primary secondary schools’ delivery, kids’ engagement programmes, player developments centres and holiday camp provisions.
You will primarily be located in Suffolk with the ability to be based at various venues across RDP regions for session delivery and any other job role requirements, such as sports facilities, schools and colleges, However, may also be required to travel to the Lotus Training Centre, Carrow Road and other Norwich City Football Club (“the Club”) or Community Sports Foundation sites.
Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
To organise and deliver effective projects and programmes across Suffolk based on the organisation strategy and budget requirements.
To deliver targets and objectives provided by the department leads.
To act as a role model for all of our young male and female players and potential future coaches.
To increase opportunities for children and young people to access coaching delivery.
To ensure all customers receive support and receive regular feedback.
To show excellent administration skills to support department leads with organisation and delivery of projects.
To ensure all coaches are aware of all session details and necessary paperwork is completed.
To provide a clear and progressive pathway to all participants within the programme.
To coach when required on a variety of RDP projects
To develop key working relationships with the RDP partners.
To be approachable to players and parents.
To build relationships with staff, students, and key stakeholders within the programme.
To act as a role model for all our young male and female participants and potential future coaches.
To achieve all the delivery goals set by the RDP.
Liaise with and maintain open communication with line management.
To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the groups being delivered and ensure all registers are up to date.
Complete appropriate reporting documents dependant programme being delivered.
Ensure RDP delivery policies and protocols is adhered to when delivering sessions and representing the RDP.
Administration as required.
Maintain equipment and ensure appropriate use.
To support the development of RDP projects and programmes
To continue to upskill knowledge in the role by attending RDP CPD events.

Qualifications / Experience
Essential:
Level 2 coaching qualification
Experience with working with staff students in a school setting
Experience within a sports development position
Desirable:
NGB Coaching qualifications
Licence Maintenance
Teaching and/or Business Qualification
Experience in a school environment or part of a management team
AFPE / PESS Level 3 qualification
There is the option for a Full-time role, or a Part-time role with hours to be agreed.
