ROLE DESCRIPTION

Central Coast Sports College (CCSC) is a progressive Independent K-12 College located on the NSW Central Coast that offers its student athletes the opportunity to participate in a comprehensive sport program (up to 2 hours of sport each day).

CCSC and Central Coast Mariners (CCM) are seeking a football coach to work across both organisations.

We are seeking the services of a Football Coach to join our dynamic Sport Department at CCSC to assist in the development journeys of our aspiring student athletes, while also taking on the role of Youth (U13-18) Technical Director for the Central Coast Mariners Academy (CCMA).

The successful candidate will be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with the Head of Football (CCSC) and the Sporting Director (CCMA) to ensure both programs are delivered in alignment to meet the needs of each individual player.

This is a full time role on a one year fixed term contract commencing in 2024.

Responsibilities include:

CENTRAL COAST SPORTS COLLEGE

Delivery of high quality and well planned football sessions that meet the individual needs of aspirational student athletes.
Coordination of offsite sport and excursions.
Communicate ongoing, detailed feedback to student athletes and their parents.
Be willing to offer assistance in recruiting student athletes to the College (recruit aspiring student athletes and take them to the top!).
Develop and maintain relationships with external organisations relevant to their sport/industry to offer exit pathways for student athletes and for recruitment purposes.
CENTRAL COAST MARINERS

The Youth Technical Director will be primarily responsible for delivering football training & coaching programs for and ensuring the success of football teams of the CCM Academy. This position will also work in collaboration with the Head Coach, Sporting Director and other football department staff on recruitment, Academy and player development strategies.
Organising and scheduling trial sessions for prospective players, as well as identifying and evaluating potential players.
Identifying individual player strengths, limitations and talents, and incorporating them into games and strategy sessions.
Operational and administrative maintenance & planning of certain football assets, including pitch availability and match day scheduling in collaboration with the Academy Coordinator.
Driving the expansion and quality improvement of the club’s Youth Academy, including development of the technical football curriculum & coaching methodology in collaboration with the Head Coach.
Ensuring selection sheets are filled accurately and on time; liaise with the Academy Coordinator for administrative matters; communicate with the players and parents.
Implement guidelines issued from time to time by the Sporting Director.
Ensure training sessions and match-day competitions are operated smoothly and such other duties as designated from time to time by the Head Coach, consistent with the role of a Youth Technical Director.
Qualifications and experience:

AFC A Coaching Licence or equivalent.
Have extensive experience in youth development - playing or coaching experience at elite levels.
Have a passion for youth development and helping individuals reach their potential.
Able to innovate, adapt and cater football programs/sessions and experiences to the needs of the players.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.
Working with Children Check clearance.
National Crime Check clearance.
First aid Certificate.
