ROLE DESCRIPTION

Job Summary
We are looking for highly motivated coaches to deliver after school activity sessions for young people across Lambeth and Croydon. In addition to football and other sports, this role will focus on building rapport with participants and developing their soft skills in teamwork, leadership, enterprise and problem solving. You will support uptake of qualifications e.g. 'Sports Leaders', social action projects and other opportunities available through Palace for Life Foundation.

Job Description
As Football / Afterschool Activities Coach you will:

Support sports and other activities within after school club settings;
Support participants to improve their physical and mental wellbeing;
Promote Palace for Life activities to participants including qualifications, events, short courses and trips;
Ensure processes and delivery meet the needs of participants by collaborating with all colleagues of the Foundation;
Maintain good working relationships with Crystal Palace Football Club and the Academy, parents and carers, employers and referrers, and other stakeholders.

 
Job Requirements
As successful candidate you will have:

Experience working with young people within a coaching, club or academic setting, with a proven track record of success;
Facilitation skills within community or classroom settings, ideally with knowledge of lesson planning;
Knowledge of sport and non physical activities that are stimulating, fun and engage young people;
Level 1 FA Coaching qualification or equivalent;
High level emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills;
Be approachable, flexible, organised and calm under pressure.
