About the opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Physical Performance Coach (Strength and Conditioning) to join our First Team – Women’s Football department.

As the First Team Physical Performance Coach you will support and operate alongside the Women’s First Team Manager and Human Performance department in the delivery of the strength and conditioning programme of the players within the Women’s First Team.

You will ensure pre-training preparation and post-training strategies are completed as well as, field-based conditioning and general strength and conditioning support with a predominant focus on sports science and pre-hab.

Other core responsibilities you will cover as part of this role include;

The delivery of individual and group strength and conditioning services to all First Team players
Overseeing the assessment of the athletic development of all First Team players
Assisting alongside the First Team sport scientist to plan and design all elements of training (season planning, periodised training model, weekly and daily physical targets)
Assisting First Team nutritionist with delivering daily provisions
Leading on a First Team player profiling and design gym and recovery programmes

Who we are looking for: Essentially, we are looking for an innovative, passionate individual who has extensive skills and experience with a variety of Elite coaching and academic techniques to maximise learning across the physical, tactical, technical, and mental aspects of player development.

Essential qualifications needed for this role include;

MSc in Sports Science, Strength & Conditioning (or equivalent)
UKSCA accredited
UKAD Clean Sport Advisor

This position is on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract basis.
