Cardiff City Ladies Football Club, the oldest women’s football institution in Wales and a seminal force in the UK's football landscape, is inviting applications for the First Team Head Coach position. The successful candidate will assume a leadership role in coaching and within the club’s management hierarchy. As we advance into the second year of our ambitious 5-year business strategy, the First Team Head Coach will be crucial in shaping the club’s future and realising our goals.

Recent Developments
We are pleased to announce a strategic partnership with Dragons 23, a consortium that Julian Jenkins and Damien Singh spearheaded. This collaboration aims to elevate the club to semi-professional status by the 2024/25 season and position us in the Women’s Super League within six years. In line with these developments, the First Team Head Coach role has been transitioned to a full-time position, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications: UEFA A Licence or higher.
Experience: Demonstrable expertise in women’s football.
Player Management: Ability to manage and mentor elite and international players.
Talent Development: Proven skill in developing young talent for first-team participation.
Recruitment: Aptitude for attracting quality players to enrich our squad by implementing an acquisition infrastructure through data and scouting networks.
Coaching Standards: Maintenance of high coaching standards to support, motivate, and challenge players.

The club’s vision is establishing an elite performance centre for women’s football. The successful candidate will have experience in formulating, implementing, and achieving this level of excellence. The individual should be prepared to evolve with the role as the club progresses through higher tiers of competition.
Compensation
The First Team Head Coach role is full-time, and a competitive compensation package will be discussed during the interview process.
