Overview



Reports To
Senior Director, Finance

The Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for managing and supporting MLS Club financial analysis and reporting.



Responsibilities



Primary Responsibilities

Collect and review Club financial results, which includes a thorough examination of each team and stadium P&L and in-depth analysis of all Club business functions.
Review and analyze team and stadium projections in order to provide a consolidated projection for MLS executives
Review headcount reports provided by Clubs in order to provide feedback for team headcount requests
Collect and review ticket reporting sent by the Clubs to ensure completeness and accuracy
Assist in the collection and review of an enterprise long-range plan
Establish strong working relationships with each Club’s financial representative.
Maintain strict confidentiality in all job functions
Additional responsibilities as assigned.




Qualifications




Bachelor’s Degree
3+ years of experience


Required Skills

Strong financial and accounting skills
Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail with the ability to analyze from a macro level as well
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verballycollaboratively across multiple departments
Ability to build strong working relationships with multiple senior executives and staff
Diligence and persistence in obtaining necessary information
Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities
Adherence to confidentiality
High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment
Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Self-starter with good time management skills when urgent deadlines need to be met


Desired Skills

Hyperion experience a plus
Understanding of the soccer industry


Total Rewards
Starting Base Salary $65,000 – 80,000. MLS/SUM base salaries are contingent upon several factors including individual qualifications, market financials, and operational business needs.
