Role description

A Referee Development Officer will be appointed by the Football Association of Wales for Female Referees throughout Wales.
The person the FAW is looking for:

Will have an active role in refereeing to a high standard, preferably in womens football.
Strong understanding of the requirementsto develop female match officials.
Will preferably be a role model to younger female officials.
Will have a good educational background.

The Referee Development Officers will be responsible to the National Match Officials Manager for:

Identifying future Tier 1 Female Match Officials.
Liaising with Area Football Associations to identify young female referees with a view todeveloping them in the appropriate period of time practicable to officiate on senior competitions.
The analysisof performance and potential of female officials across Wales.
Maintaining regular contact with their female candidates.
Maintaining regular contact with the Area Association Referees Officers and to arrange aminimum of four meetings each season of those concerned, of which all shall include fitness/practical sessions.
Attending a minimum of 2 FAW organised in service training events as determined by the FAWMatch Officials Manager.
Providing the National Match Officials Manager with a mid-season and end of season report for their candidates.
Maintaining a good working relationship with the National Match Officials Manager.
Applicants should also have experience of working with Power Point (or equivalent) and be able to produce a presentation using this technique together with utilising digital footage material.
