Description
The FAI are currently recruiting for the position of Events Executive. As part of the overall Marketing Communications Department, the Events team play an important role across the Association. This is an exciting role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will work with the Event Manager to assist in the successful delivery of a variety of events such as U21s, Women National Team and Men National Team matches, Cup Finals, as well as promotional, corporate, and commercial events.

The Role
The Events Executive is responsible for supporting the planning and delivery of events from beginning to end, including post-event evaluation to ensure the efficient and effective running of match day events (and other events) from a fan experience and hospitality perspective. The Events Executive will provide administrative and operational support across all aspects of an event. There is a requirement to liaise and work closely with senior management. The role requires strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to adapt and prioritise in a fast-paced working environment. There will be frequent out of office hours and weekend assignments.

Key Responsibilities:
Event Management support event delivery for Men National Team, Women National Team, Under 21s and Domestic Cup Finals, promotional, corporate, and commercial events. This will include, but is not limited to:

Ensuring all touchpoints across each event are delivered in line with brand standards
Co-ordinating VIP Invitations Ticket Distribution
Booking Hospitality Catering for each event
Delivering all Stadium Branding including static and digital assets
Liaising with dignitaries and VIP including President and Taoiseach offices
Co-ordinating event delivery in line with UEFA Protocols e.g. Mascots, Flagbearers Ball-Team, Pre-Match and Half-Time on-pitch activities
Booking and co-ordinating Official Pre-Match Function and gift exchange (MNT only)
Co-ordinating resourcing and staffing of match day staff where required
Acting as brand ambassador for FAI on Match Day
Developing templates and project plans to facilitate successful event delivery
Continuously evaluating processes, procedures and technology to ensure best in class events
Working with Event Manager and Head of Marketing to develop and implement Event Strategy
Additional Events and Marketing activities as directed by Event Manager and Head of Marketing

THE PERSON:
The successful candidate will have the following:
Qualifications

A relevant Degree or Professional Qualification in Event Management, Marketing or Hospitality is preferable

Key Skills Requirements

A minimum of 2 years event management experience preferably in a Sporting environment
Excellent project and event management skills including co-ordinating third-party suppliers
The ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
A team player with a pro-active, ‘can-do’ enthusiastic approach
Excellent organisational skills with ability to show strong attention to detail
Strong relationship management skills
Proficiency in MS Office in particular presentation skills
Keen interest in Events and Marketing
Availability to work outside of office hours and occasionally at weekends
Knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, sport
Full clean drivers licence and access to own vehicle is essential
