An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Chef to join our professional kitchen brigade at Middlesbrough Football Club. Based at the Riverside Stadium, the Events Chef will support the Executive Head Chef and Senior Chefs in the creation, preparation, and delivery of food offerings for conferences/events and matchdays. The successful candidate will be required to work 30 hours per weekand be flexible to meet the demands of the business, including working evenings and weekends.
THE ROLE Assisting in the production, preparation and cooking of food for hospitality suites and meeting rooms, ensuring all aspects of food production processes are presented to the highest standards. Participating in meetings to identify the daily/weekly business needs and coordinating resources to fulfil business requirements. Checking the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure required standards are met. Assisting in stock control, portion control and quality control whilst maintaining cleanliness of work areas. Demonstrating a thorough knowledge of all menu items, recipes, methods of production and presentation standards. Following food safety regulations to ensure the maintenance of a five-star food hygiene rating.
CANDIDATES SHOULD: Have experience working as a Chef de Partie (or higher) in a restaurant, hotel or sports venue and be able to demonstrate excellent technical skills. Have some leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Possess a level 3 certificate in Supervising Food Safety (or equivalent). Be professional and hardworking with a positive demeanour. Demonstrate a passion for product knowledge and a willingness to learn. Demonstrate excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work to deadlines. Be able to operate under pressure and adapt quickly as conditions require. Have exceptional attention to detail. Be eligible to work in the UK.
