Main goalThe mission of the Event Experience team is to create unforgettable fan experiences across UEFA clubcompetitions and international tournaments. The team is responsible for the development and implementation ofthe on-site experience in the host cities and at the stadium, which is complemented by an industry-leading digitalevent communications experience.
The Event Communications Coordinator will support the development and implementation of its eventcommunications strategy for key UEFA competitions such as EURO 2024 and the finals of the UEFA NationsLeague and club competitions (UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League).UEFA takes a cutting-edge approach to event communications across its competitions through mobile apps andUEFA.com. Our focus is on delivering a personalised experience to all target groups by making the most of faninsights and the latest digital technologies.
This is an operational role for an individual with experience of a multichannel communications campaign for aninternational event. The Event Communications Coordinator should be an avid copywriter with a passion forcreating engaging content and an exceptional eye for detail. The position-holder will be responsible for day-to-daycontent management across UEFA's channels and for setting up and executing email campaigns to ticket holders,so a background in digital marketing and CRM is an asset. The Event Communications Coordinator will also identifyonline and on-site promotional opportunities to optimise awareness of the event communications programme aswell as planning and executing promotional campaigns in collaboration with UEFA marketing and communicationsteams. They will also be responsible for ensuring that partner rights are respected by working with the partnershipsteam to identify new and engaging opportunities for sponsor integration on event communication channels.This is the perfect opportunity for a digital marketing and communications professional to shape the fan experienceat the most prestigious events in European football.
Key responsibilities Supporting the development and delivery of UEFA event communications strategy to all target groupsContent development: Working with internal and external stakeholders (LOS, host cities and venues) to develop and collate contentacross operational matchday, mobility and fan zone communications for fans attending UEFA competitions andtournaments Writing engaging, creative and accurate copy in accordance with UEFA style guide and in an appropriate tone ofvoice Editing and proofreading content for grammar, clarity, and consistencyContent management: Day-to-day content management of UEFA mobile apps and UEFA.com, including publishing all content via theCMS and keeping UEFA channels up to date and accurate Supporting dynamic communications on-site during competitions/matches Monitoring the delivery of communications on UEFA channels, including testing products Liaising with agencies delivering translations and foreign language contentPromotions and customer relationship management: Developing and setting up the ticket-holder CRM strategy and executing operational email campaigns inpartnership with the Event Communications Specialist Developing and executing a promotional plan (on-site and digital) to ensure maximum awareness among visitingand local fans of the event communications services available Working with designers and agencies to produce briefings for editorial and promotional creative assets such asimagery, photography, printed products and videos Supporting the integration of UEFA existing and new commercial partners in the event communicationsprogramme Assisting the Event Communications Specialist with additional projects as requiredProfileExperience required: from 4 to 6 years' experience in copywriting, editing and digital content management, ideally with an operationalfocus. from 1 to 3 years' experience in digital marketing and CRM. from 1 to 3 years' experience of major event operations, ideally in the sports or entertainment industry.
Education: Bachelor's In a relevant field.
Languages: English / Proficient
Additional requirements: Adobe Creative Suite / Basic MS Office / Advanced Digitally savvy with good knowledge of mobile apps and websites, industry standards and best practices in digitalcontent production Creative mind and problem-solving attitude Excellent oral and written communication skills Exceptional attention to detail Ability to multitask and work in an international environment Strong organisational and project management skills Knowledge of any other European language in addition to English would an asset
