Role description

The International Academy of Club Deportivo Leganés S.A.D. is a training program aimed at international players between the ages of 18 and 23. With more than five years of operation, the International Academy has two senior teams (C.D. Leganés C and C.D. Leganés D) that compete in regional divisions of the Madrid Football Federation. It aims to provide quality teaching under a professional Spanish methodology.


The vacant position is that of coach of C.D. Leganés C, a team integrated into the sporting structure of the club, oriented to high performance and with a clear objective of promotion to the First Regional Division. It has a mix of players with potential for promotion within the club's structure to the subsidiary team, and another part of paid players.


Some of the tasks to be performed are:



Planning training sessions (according to the U-23 stage);
Responsible for managing the squad, setting up the team and making tactical decisions during matches,
Preparation of match reports: individual evaluations and statistical follow-up;
Evaluation of players in the U-23 group and participation in technical discussions with the coaching staff and management of the International Academy;
Follow-up of individualized plan for high potential players;
Feedback with U-23 players of the D-team;
Preparation of individual meetings with players;
Participation in the Academy detections;
Participation in Academy technical meetings;
Ongoing collaboration with physical trainers, performance culture managers and physiotherapists;
Ongoing collaboration with the assistant coach of the U-23 group;
Performing other related functions.

The job includes the possibility to travel, expenses paid, to carry out methodological trainings and to participate in events such as campuses, clinics or drafts in other countries.


Requirements



Be a leader in and out of the locker room, mentoring international players who come to enjoy an experience and training in a cultural environment different from their own.
At least 5 years of experience coaching cadet, youth or senior categories in Spain.
Have international professional experience, either full time or part time.
Demonstrate dynamism and proactivity, be able to work in a team and constantly adapt in a changing environment.
Proficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office if not already proficient.
UEFA B or higher
C1 level or higher in English.
