Role description

Exeter City Football Club are looking to recruit casual workers and volunteers for an initial period of 4 weeks commencing 2nd August 2021.

These are new positions within the Club and will play an integral part in enabling us to showcase our new exciting engagement hub within Princesshay in the heart of Exeter city centre.

Our aim is to inspire not only the local community but visitors to the city and share our passion and vision and ensure our supporters and the general public know what to expect when our gates reopen in August. We are looking for individuals who will positively engage with the general public and will support us in increasing awareness of our supporter owned club through the Exeter City Supporters' Trust which under Trust ownership has gone from strength to strength.

We are looking for individuals that are reliable, well presented, dynamic and customer focused as successful candidates will be managing the engagement hub. Candidates will need to be energetic and enthusiastic with the ability to communicate clearly and distribute information to a diverse audience. Training will be provided to ensure successful candidates are competent and knowledgeable in representing the Club and providing information on the following:

Matchday experience - providing information including ticketing, food and drink outlets and opportunities for our younger fans re becoming a Junior Grecian and our Grecian Centre facilities.
Trust Membership
Non matchday facilities
Processing retail orders
Staff will be expected to verbally engage with visitors on the above topics and there will also be a number of ways we digitally and physically engage with customers. Presentation of the hub is key and staff must ensure it is kept clean and tidy and looking professional at all times to ensure it is inviting and visitors have space to explore it.

As part of the hub team, you will report into the Chief Commercial Officer and our plan is to have two team members present for each shift as its essential visitors have space to explore it. Shifts will vary but our aim is for the hub to open between 10am and 4pm Monday to Saturday excluding home matchdays where we expect it to be open between 10am and 1pm.

Interview format: Panel interview

All candidates will require a DBS Check and must be able to prove their eligibility to work within the UK at Interview.
