Our Organisation

The Football Association [The FA] is the not-for-profit governing body of football in England. It is responsible for promoting and developing every level of the game, from grassroots through to the professional game, and generates significant revenue to support investment into English football each year.

The FA oversees England international teams acrossmen's, women's, youth and disability football, as well as running the National League System and FA Competitions including the Emirates FA Cup, Barclays FA Women's Super League, FAWomen's Championship, and Vitality Women's FA Cup, and the world-class facilities of Wembley Stadium and St. George's Park,all with a purpose to Unite the Game and Inspire the Nation.

The Role

The Emerging Talent Centre Project Officer will work in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders to support the implementation of 70 new FA Girls' Emerging Talent Centres nationwide and to oversee the day-to-day operations of the programme.

Key Accountabilities

Work closely as part of the Player Pathway team to ensure the timely and effective rollout of the Emerging Talent Centre programme.
Lead on the project planning of all remaining items and workstreams linked to the commencement of the Emerging Talent Centre programme.
Work with all organisations to ensure centres meet their operational requirements to commence delivery.
Day to day management and support to organisations ensuring the Emerging Talent Centre Criteria is upheld.
Manage the Player and Staff registration process on FA central systems to ensure every player and member of staff is registered prior to the start programme commencement.
Collaborate with the Player Insights team to capture key data linked to the Emerging Talent Centre Programme such as player/staff/centre data and postcode mapping.
Design and deliver a series of operational events to support the onboarding of Emerging Talent Centre staff.
Management of the Women's Player Pathway Central email inbox and responsible for ensuring all queries are returned.
Collaborate with the Regional Talent Clubs Manager to develop and implement a CPD programme for Emerging Talent Centre players, parents, and staff.
Executes additional tasks as required to meet FA Group changing priorities.
Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.

What we are looking for

Knowledge of the FA Women's Football Strategy, the current girl's talent pathway and organisations within girls' and women's football,
Experience working within a sports related industry,
Project management experience,
Experience of working with and building relationships with the major stakeholders,
Proficient use of FA Whole Game System/FA Platform for Football and FA Full Time,
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks,
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and maintain quality of work,
Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders,
Strong communication skills,
Strong project management skills,
Strong reporting writing skills,
Strong Microsoft Office skills.
