Kansas City Surf is looking to hire a full-time staff coach for their ECNL RL boys/NPL Girls and local league. This candidate would be required to coach at least 1 team in the ECNL RL or NPL program and may be required to coach additional teams within the local league programs. This coach would support the NPL Girls and ECRL boys KC Surf DOC in all aspects of the boys and girl’s competitive program, potentially including, but not limited to: on field coaching of games, training and camp sessions; training, game and tournament scheduling; execution of the tryout and team placement process; player development, recruitment and identification within the KC Surf Youth Academy; player and parent education; curriculum development; part time coach supervision; and assisting with college recruiting.

The successful candidate will have a youth soccer background and experience in the development of players ages U13 to U19. Other important attributes include, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to problem solve and work well as a team player in a positive and collaborative environment with a willingness to work a non-traditional schedule including evenings and weekends.

The starting salary range for this position is $35,000 - $50,000 based on experience and value. KC Surf strongly supports continuing education for coaches and benefits include full reimbursement for obtaining advanced coaching licenses. Kansas City Surf was founded by Rob Million, Jack Jewsbury, and Vladimir Roganovic in 2010 originally as Puma Futbol Club (Puma FC). This year will mark the 13th anniversary of the club. Since its founding, the values associate with the club have remained the same as today. Family, Friends, Competition, and Community. Due to the strong foundation of family values and growing competitive spirit, Puma FC joined with Surf Nation on March 1, 2023. Kansas City Surf has grown every year since its inception. The totality of the club will reach over 2500 kids with teams playing in both recreation and premier leagues teams from many different parts of the Kansas City Metro area and surrounding communities. These teams will play in Surt Select League, Surf Champions League, ECNL Regional League, NPL, Heartland, local tourneys and other top showcase Tournaments in the United States. Qualifications:

National Youth License (preferred)
NSCAA National Diploma, USSF C License or equivalent (preferred)
Experience in Microsoft Office Word and Excel (required)
College recruiting process experience (beneficial)
Social media program experience (beneficial)
