ROLE DESCRIPTION

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Peel Halton Soccer Association (PHSA) is a not-for-profit corporation comprised of a community of clubs, leagues, players, administrators, coaches and volunteers. Our mission is to provide opportunities for any person in Peel Halton to participate in organized soccer and Futsal in any role of their choosing and to assist all participants in reaching their potential within a wellmanaged, cooperative and progressive soccer environment.
Reporting to the PHSA Executive Director, the successful candidate will bring strong customer case management skills, coupled with administrative experience to serve the membership of the District by executing the operation of its outdoor, indoor and futsal soccer leagues. These leagues include the Golden Horseshoe Soccer League (GHSL), Peel Halton District League (PHDL) Youth, Development, Adult Futsal and Ontario Premier Futsal League (OPFL). In collaboration with all PHSA staff and member clubs, will administer and enforce established rules and regulations of the District, in addition to policies and requirements of governing organizations such as Ontario Soccer.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties:
1. Assist with reviewing all game reports for potential discipline proceedings.2. Where appropriate, assign Discipline by Review (DBR) / Discipline by Hearing (DBH) for situations noted on game sheets.3. Assemble Discipline Panels for all DBH.4. Assemble information relative to upcoming Discipline Hearings and distribute to all parties involved.5. Facilitate and mediate all discipline hearings during evening hours.6. Communicate Discipline Panel decisions to all affected parties, including invoicing fines, if applicable.
7. Maintain up-to-date contact information for all Discipline Panel members and share relevant information with this group.8. Direct disputes, complaints and appeals to appropriate parties and processes as necessary.9. Address all discipline issues in a timely manner.
Other:
1. As necessary, support other PHSA staff in the execution of their job responsibilities.2. Inform the Executive Director of any concerns or issues which could negatively affect the operation of the District.3. Other duties as assigned by the Manager, League Operations and Executive Director.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Strong knowledge and understanding of the structure of soccer in Ontario Operational knowledge of the PHSA and its member clubs is considered an asset Prior experience handling and resolving disputes, complaints and appeals Ability to operate with diplomacy, tact and discretion with sensitive matters Conflict resolution skills to maintain a level head through sometimes contentious issues Highly organized and flexible with the ability to multi-task Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends when necessary to process disciplinary hearings
