Position Summary: Gotham FC is seeking a Director of Soccer Operations to facilitate all day-to-day administration and coordination of the coaches, players and facilities for NJ/NY Gotham FC, under the supervision of the General Manager. This staff member will work closely with the Head Coach, General Manager and Chief Business Officer to accomplish team and business objectives. This position involves regular domestic travel, and the ability to maintain a schedule in line with a sports team, including weekends and nights. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:  Team & Player OperationsManaging the full Soccer Operations calendar, including coordination and communication of training and special event schedules, travel arrangements, team meals and player paperwork. Maintaining a positive working relationship with facility staff and security, coordinating Team access needs.Inventory locker room supplies and snacks, organize and keep clean locker room common areas.Available to players and coaching staff before, during and after training sessions to assist with needs.Acting as direct source of communication with players and soccer operations staff on all day-to-day matters, providing clear, concise and timely communication. Coordinating player new hire paperwork in liaison with NWSL, and other necessary League paperwork. Maintain inventory, supplies and documentation on player vehicles, housing and utilities. Coordination and hands on execution of player relocation travel, transportation &/or arrivals. Execute international transfer certifications for outgoing/incoming international player moves. Managing all club immigration needs, engaging NWSL immigration attorney to fulfill visa or green card needs for players and staff. Enforcing and communicating the NWSL Operations & Competition Manuals.Monitors the annual soccer operations budget, working with medical/performance & equipment to stay within limits. Other duties as assigned.Game Day OperationsPreparing annual NWSL schedule availability, with input from Ownership and Red Bull Arena.Liaison to Red Bull Arena Security & Gates, creating credential lists for each game.Preparing soccer operations for all home and road-game trips, including travel with the team.AwayBooking airfare, travel transportation and accommodations; Building and executing on all travel itineraries. Fulfill ticket will call requests. HomeCoordinate arrivals, supplies, locker rooms, credentials and suites for referees, medical observers, match observers and referee assessor. Coordinate with Communications and Ticketing to provide credentials, COVID tiers, parking and tickets for players and technical staff; communicate parking and gate instructions to necessary parties.Coordinate snacks and meals for game day staff.Enforcing and communicating the NWSL Operations & Competition Manuals, as well as Red Bull Arena policies and procedures. Hiring and coordinating staff for locker room liaisons, ball runners and stretcher crew. Executing the load in/out and set up of match day items for home/away/referee/coaches locker rooms. Troubleshooting with Spiideo any necessary camera functions.Serve as Visiting Team Liaison, coordinating ticket and credentials, training times, information about the venue, maintaining relationship with visiting team hotel. Other duties as assigned.Minimum Education and Qualifications: B.A./B.S., or equivalent work experience in an administrative or event coordination role.5 years experience in an administrative or event coordination role, sport experience preferred.Strong written and verbal communication skills.The ability to work well within a group environment.The ability to multi-task and complete multiple jobs at once, particularly tasks that are time sensitive.The job requires regularly lifting/pushing up to 25-40 pounds and occasionally lifting/pushing more than 50-60 pounds or exerting heavy force, in a wide disparity or environmental conditions. The job involves standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, lifting, pushing, etc. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.KEY PERSONALITY TRAITS:Detail orientedOrganizedConsistent and detailed communicatorProblem solverGets it doneOptimisticAlways improvingWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
