Nature Of Work
Oversee and manage the scouting department in conjunction with the Chief Scout ,
Examples Of Work Performed
Deliver youth and emerging player targets to the Club’s EVP & General Manager and Sporting Director along with clear and concise justification as to why they fit the Club’s recruitment philosophy.
Manage the Club’s player database in conjunction with the Analytics Department.
Establish and maintain a reliable network of scout and recruitment contacts , with emphasis on domestic talent and elite academies in international markets .
Attend Rapids 1st T eam , 2nd Team, and Academy training sessions to ensure appropriate benchmarking of players.
Ongoing collaboration with Rapids 2 General Manager & Academy Director to document club’s recruitment needs profile & position.
Collaborate with Rapids 2 & Academy operations & coaching staff to coordinate on-site trials for prospective players within player recruitment policies and guidelines. Assume primary role in hosting players, parents & coaches.
Screen trialists and work with player welfare to evaluate players suitability for homestay programming/online schooling and to align with club values.
Work in function with the Academy Technical Director to c reate recruiting/educational materials that showcase the benefits of participation in the Colorado Rapids Academy .
Create and deliver education session to network scouts on an ongoing basis .

High School or GED
5 + years’ experience in field in a senior position
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Certification or soccer licensure either as a coach or in talent identification
US Soccer B license or equivalent
US Soccer Scouting License preferred
