Nature Of Work
Oversee and manage the scouting department.
Examples Of Work Performed
Deliver and present player targets to the Club’s General Manager and Sporting Director along with clear and concise justification as to why they fit the Club’s recruitment philosophy and strategy.
Manage the Club’s player database in conjunction with the Analytics Department.
Supervise the Club’s Head of European Scouting, Head of South American Scouting, and Head of North American Scouting.
Report on the performance and development of the Club’s scouts, as well as provide feedback on their work.
Establish and maintain a reliable network of scouts and recruitment contacts.
Attend Rapids 1 st team training sessions to ensure appropriate benchmarking of players.

Qualifications
Minimum
High School or GED
5+ years’ experience in field in a senior scouting or recruitment position
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred
Certification or soccer licensure either as a coach or in talent identification
US Soccer B license or equivalent
US Soccer Scouting License preferred

Possess or have access to a broad network of scouting contacts both inside and outside the US
Ability to strategically execute on recruitment goals
Understanding of the rules and conditions of MLS and how they impact player recruitment
Ability to manage and delegate responsibility.
Compensation
Base $100,000 per annum
