DIRECTOR OF PERFORMANCE AND INNOVATION
Reporting to the Medical Performance and Innovation Department, you will be part of the women's professional team.
What you’ll be doing...
Main Responsibilities :
Oversee performance, medical and mental support for Olympique Lyonnais Féminin players.
Develop a clear philosophy of support.
Lead the management, planning and execution of daily training and match workload monitoring for the first team.
Develop, lead and implement cutting-edge female-focused innovations at Olympique Lyonnais Féminin.
Develop and manage integrated and inspiring high performance support.
Work closely with the multidisciplinary technical, medical and performance team.
Your ability to successfully execute will :
Overall responsibility for the design, development and implementation of strategy, policies, procedures and performance programs for Olympique Lyonnais Féminin players.
Collaborate with the Sports Science Manager, Mental Performance Manager and Medical Manager to provide multidisciplinary support by implementing and monitoring optimal strategies for women's health, wellness, recovery, physical profiling, strength and conditioning, training and match load monitoring, nutrition, psychology and return to the field of play :
Develop a training language and philosophy as a basis for training development and implementation.
Develop an optimal physical profiling and screening strategy and integrate all data platforms to implement and enforce high performance standards.
Develop strategies focused on each facet of performance: sports science, psychology, nutrition and medicine.
Lead the planning of periodization including daily planning and debriefing sessions.
Lead the development of an optimal communication strategy with the performance, medical and innovation departments.
Create and monitor off-season training programs.
Develop and coordinate applied performance and medical research projects, contributing to the evolution of a world-leading high-performance support program.
Manage and implement all required elements of league standards as they relate to female professional players.
Carry out multi-disciplinary projects requiring the integration of data from the fields of analysis, medicine and science.
Support and develop staff to become leading practitioners through a consistent performance evaluation process.
Manage and mentor performance staff, PhD students, undergraduate student volunteers and interns.
Participate in workshops, in-service meetings, professional development courses/workshops and other development opportunities.

Education and experience :
Bachelor's degree in exercise/sport science.
PhD in sport science or related field.
At least 10 years' experience in sport science/performance, including five years as a manager/leader.
Experience in applied soccer preferred (an exception may be granted for experience in other professional sports).
Experience working with female athletes and in-depth knowledge of women's health physiology.
Experience using sports science technologies such as: STATSports GPS, Polar, VALD (NordBord and ForceDecks), and athlete management systems such as Kitman Labs.
Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and experience with data visualization software such as Tableau, Power BI…
