NJ/NY Gotham FC is a founding member of the National Women's Soccer League in 2013. The team was known as Sky Blue FC from 2008 until 2020.  Gotham FC is committed to growing the game on and off the field. Our team of world-renowned players match their talent with their dynamic and distinctive personas. Gotham champions humanity’s most important causes, emerging as community leaders for social justice, gender equality and mental health awareness. Our team is as diverse as the city it plays in, demonstrating the power of uniting different racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds in the culture of soccer and the global game, all in the culture capital of the world, New York City.  It’s an exciting time for women’s sports, especially women’s soccer. The NWSL is the fastest growing women’s sport – 1 in 3 Americans is a soccer fan, and 1 in 4 Americans is a women’s soccer fan. Over 60MM minutes were watched on Twitch in 2020, and NWSL viewership grew 493% in the 2021 season.   With growth across every metric, the time is now for the NWSL and Gotham FC. We’re looking for dynamic business leaders who are energized by the prospect of creating the change we wish to see across women’s professional sports.Overview The Director, Partnership Marketing for Gotham FC is responsible for managing the day-to-day execution of all activities within assigned Partner Accounts. This person will be the main day to day liaison with key partnerships such as the Gotham FC jersey partner, season long presenting partner and others. This individual will be responsible for leading the Partnership Marketing team and delivering the highest level of client service while also being a proactive marketer to help uncover additional upsell opportunities based on partner objectives. Responsibilities Oversee strategy and implementation of each account, including analyzing contracts, ensuring the delivery of assets, and providing EOY recaps. Proactive thought to drive marketing initiatives that go above and beyond the baseline of the contract. Lead renewal efforts of current partner contracts and provide insights based on market research as well as information gathered from partner conversations, history and relationships. Proactively generate new ideas for new sponsorship opportunities including in game elements and retail promotions to grow partner business. Effectively present information to sponsors and internal stakeholders and answer any questions that arise. Support planning and execution for community events with partner investment. Manage in-game activations in collaboration with game day operations team, such as seat upgrade promotions, coin toss, etc. Lead special projects as requested. Manage Partnership Marketing team to ensure goals are met and team members understand path to success, growth, and additional opportunities. Additional responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree 7+ years of experience in strategic brand and partnership marketing Required Skills Basic understanding of sports business affairs such as rights management, contract negotiations and player activations Creative strategist with the ability to concept client solutions Strong understanding of sports and entertainment sponsorships, including promotions, events, media and contracts Strong understanding of marketplace in NJ / NY Excellent analytical interpersonal skills with ability to problem solve Positive attitude with the ability to adapt and work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment Superior reading and listening comprehension, organization, project management skills and attention to detail High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
