Position: Director of Identification and Recruitment
Reports To: General Manager                                                  Other:  Head Coach, Technical Director, and Assistant GM
Type: Full Time                                                                   Start Date: May 1, 2022
Salary: TBD based on experience                                                          Overview:Houston Dynamo FC is seeking candidates to assist with the expansion and management of a professional identification and recruitment department. This position will work closely with the General Manager, Technical Director, First Team Head Coach, and Assistant General Manager to operate a department to identify and recruit new professional players that reflect the club’s soccer philosophy, culture, and budget.  The positional responsibilities will include the creation of an expanded Identification and Recruitment Department, the management of the department, development and utilization of new sources of information to evaluate players, and ultimately the identification and recruitment of new players for the Houston Dynamo FC first team. This position will be based in Houston, Texas and requires both domestic and international travel. Responsibilities:
Create and manage the player identification and recruitment department for Houston Dynamo FC, with a focus on the first team
Work with technical leadership to develop a new player identification and recruitment strategy for the club
Create and manage a network of global scouts to assist with identification and recruitment efforts
Develop and utilize new sources of information to evaluate players 
Create and manage database of all player assessments
In conjunction with club’s technical leadership, develop a player identification and recruitment plan that reflects the club’s soccer philosophy, culture, and budget
Manage and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders
Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager
Previous experience managing a professional club’s scouting department
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing personnel in a high performing environment
Minimum of 10 years of experience in player identification 
Knowledge of MLS roster rules and acquisition procedures is preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Minimum USSF B Soccer License or equivalent is preferred
Fluency in Spanish and English preferred
