GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
- Position: Director of Human Performance
- Start date: 24th of June 2024
- Location: FC Nordsjælland, Denmark
- Department: Human Performance Department

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Director of Human Performance will spearhead the human performance department, encompassing sports medicine, nutrition, psychology, sports science, and conditioning for both our first teams and the academy. This role entails the formulation, implementation, and management of comprehensive strategies aimed at enhancing athlete health, optimizing physical potential, and contributing to the team's success. A collaborative approach with both the performance staff and coaching teams will be essential to promote holistic athlete development and performance excellence.


Key Responsibilities
THE ROLE
- Lead and manage all facets of the performance department, ensuring collaboration across
disciplines.
- Lead recruitment, development, and evaluation of performance department personnel.
- Foster a culture of excellence within the club, integrating performance standards and
strategies.
- Coordinate physical training and nutrition plans, ensuring compliance with anti-doping
regulations.
- Implement psychological support and injury prevention frameworks.
- Manage athlete wellness, medical care, and rehabilitation processes.
- Ensure adherence to league health and medical regulations.

ROLE RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports to: Director of Football Operations & Group Director of Human Performance.
- Key Internal Relationships: 1st teams Head Coaches, Technical Director, Academy
Director.


Minimum Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree or higher in Exercise Science, Sports Medicine, or a related field.
- Extensive experience managing multidisciplinary teams in elite sports.
- Proven track record in athlete performance optimization.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
- Expertise in sports science and medicine, with a strong understanding of soccer-specific
applications.
- Proficient in data management and performance technology integration.
- Multilingual abilities, with emphasis on Danish and English, are advantageous.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- Passionate about developing young talent and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Creative and innovative thinker with a resilience to overcome challenges.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse cultural
backgrounds.
