The Red Bulls play home matches at Red Bull Arena (RBA) in Harrison, New Jersey. The three-time MLS Supporters' Shield Winners are owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull for which the team is named. The New York Red Bulls offer one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, from local soccer partnerships across New York and New Jersey to Regional Development Schools and the Red Bulls Academy teams.
Purpose of this JobYou will report to the Vice President of Marketing and manage the communications team that covers the New York Red Bulls, Red Bulls II, Red Bulls Academy and Red Bull Arena. You will be responsible for strategies and communications that create and guide awareness for the organization. You will collaborate with the leadership team, sporting department and department heads across the organization. You will cultivate relationships with media members through pitching stories and fielding media inquiries.
Areas that play to your strengthsAll the responsibilities we'll trust you with:• You will lead our communications team• You will direct all communications strategy & implementation• Create important messaging for executives and sporting staff• Oversee all written materials including press releases, media advisories and speeches• Work directly with players (first team and USL) and front office• Produce all press conferences, announcements, and media operations• Implement communications and publicity strategies to support all departmental plans• Track and analyze media coverage• Develop relationships with media members• Ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential information
Your areas of expertise that matter most for this role:• Minimum of 7 years of experience in public relations, publicity in the entertainment space• Experience with existing and latest social media platform• Demonstrate a passion for working as part of team and specifically with the New York Red Bulls• Accomplish responsibilities ensuring all communications meets our standards• Travel with the team as determined• Bilingual Spanish speaker is strongly preferred
