Role description
Pride Soccer Club is seeking a Director of Coaching for the Girls program. The Girls DOC will work within a team of 3 age group directors within the Girls program and as a part of a wider club staff. The Director of Coaching will report directly to the Senior Girls Director and Technical Director of the club. This position includes the oversight and management of coaches and competitive teams within specific age groups, including the ECNL, ECNL-RL and state levels. The role includes coaching 2 teams and requires excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Staff members are encouraged to bring personality to the role and to show the drive and aptitude required to create a successful environment both on and off the field, within the club’s core values.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coach 2 competitive teams
- Oversee coaches and teams within specific age groups of the Girls Competitive program; build strong relationships with coaches and managers
- Ensure club values and training standards are consistently maintained
- Work within a team and a wider club staff
- Provide training direction and regular coaching feedback to coaches
- Oversee age group tryouts, team formation and player movement
- Work with other age group and program directors within the club to identify talent and expand the player pool
- Must possess the ability to multi-task, manage time and to effectively handle problems and conflict in a sensitive and professional manner
- Must possess leadership abilities to include holding the respect of those to which they are directly responsible for and peers
- Requires excellent written, verbal and in-person communication skills
- Work with other coaching directors to develop coaching education programs and curriculum
- USSF B- License/equivalent or higher preferred
- Experience managing coaches
- Coaching experience at the elite level – ECNL/GA/USYS Nationals or Regionals
- Experience addressing small and large audiences
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel/Powerpoint programs
