Role description
Overview North Carolina Football Club is the country’s largest youth-to-pro soccer organization and the parent company of the North Carolina Courage (NWSL, Women’s First Division) and North Carolina FC (USL, Men’s Third Division) professional soccer teams. The Club is actively seeking a savvy Digital Marketing Manager. The Digital Marketing Manager will create, implement, track, and analyze email and other digital campaigns. A Strong Candidate will be able to lead the production, management and reporting of digital marketing campaigns which includes content creation, design and development for weekly newsletters, fan engagement and products. The day-to-day responsibilities will include email creation and deployment, platform and list management, campaign analysis and reporting. They will work with other departments to deliver effective and engaging digital marketing campaigns.
Job Responsibilities
Manage and build email marketing campaigns within the club’s ESP SendInBlue
Develop engaging email and digital content strategies to apply to retargeting campaigns, specific target markets, and product promotions
Create and gather various email lists, list segmentation, and manage targeted audiences from a variety of different sources
Knowledge of HTML and email template design, ability to design and implement responsive layouts
Manage the health of customer data within the system by monitoring bounces and opt-outs, updating and cleansing lists in the system
Increase weekly email subscriptions
Analyze contact lists across multiple sources including Emma, TicketMaster, Shopify
Develop documentation and roadmaps for processes and conduct A/B testing to gain a better understanding of our audience and their preferences
Help to analyze current processes and recommend efficiencies for digital marketing initiatives
Design and manage the creation and sending of our digital match day guides and pregame communications
Qualifications
2– 3 years of email marketing, lead nurturing, marketing automation, web analytics and/or digital marketing experience
Experience with ESPs specifically, SendInBlue, or other email automation tools
Experience with ecommerce platforms like TicketMaster and Shopify
Can code HTML, CSS, JS AND/OR SQL
Experience with data analytics visualization and reporting tools
Knowledge of latest digital marketing trends
Strong writing skills
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Good time-management skills
Excellent relationship building, communication and interpersonal skills
Outgoing, creative self-starter that has strong leadership skills, while thriving in a team environment
Familiarity working with project management software and task management software
Ability and willingness to work long, flexible hours including numerous nights, weekends and holidays that correspond with each team’s game schedule
Knowledge and passion for soccer in a bonus
Ability to work on-site at the North Carolina Football Club headquarters in Raleigh, NC.
