Chicago Fire Football Club is a Major League Soccer team that was founded in 1997 and is Chicago’s ambassador to the global sport of soccer. The Club recently returned to Soldier Field as well as opened a new 50,000 square foot office in the heart of the city. With tremendous growth and expansion, the Club is laying the foundation for an audacious and ambitious vision that will transform the brand and the success of the Club in the coming years. The 2022 Chicago Fire Summer Internship Program is designed to provide outstanding individuals interested in a career in sports with the opportunity to experience the inner workings of a professional sports team firsthand.
Running from May – August (with flexibility based on schedule), this paid program provides individuals with the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that contribute to the organization's success while developing their personal and business acumen. Those selected will gain invaluable work experience through interesting project assignments, meetings with Club employees across the organization, and various additional events (such as Chicago Fire matches at Soldier Field).Some of the fabulous employee perks the Chicago Fire Football Club Internship Program offers include:

SUMMARY.The Chicago Fire Football Club is looking for a current or recent college graduate to serve as a Design/Photo intern. This individual will work closely with other members of the Content Creative Team to assist with a variety of design and photography tasks. This is a paid role up to 30 hours/week from May 23 through August 5, 2022.  RESPONSIBILITIES 

Assist with the creation of various design projects, including designing marketing materials, advertising campaigns, decks, as well as digital and social content, among others
Work with staff photographers to cover photo assignments ranging from studio photoshoots to live matchday action
Prepare images for digital and print applications through color correction, photo retouching, and archiving
Execute various tasks on matchdays and support club initiatives and special projects as needed, including special events 
Provide creative thinking to help solve business problems for a variety of stakeholders 

Fully Vaccinated for COVID-19
Demonstrated experience through a portfolio of previous photo and design work
Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
Must be a current college student or recent graduate
Demonstrated ability across composition, creativity, and color usage
Desired experience in photography both in shooting imagery and postproduction editing
·         Experience creating motion graphics a plus, specifically in Adobe After Effects or Photoshop
Proven ability to interact and brainstorm concepts within a team setting
Well organized with ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
Great communicator, professional in presentation and able to work with multiple stakeholders and personalities 
A good understanding of print production processes
Good problem-solving and organizational skills
Solid writing/proofing skills
Strong typography skills
