ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, this full-time role will work with Football Australia Digital staff and external vendors to deliver first data and API solutions to Football Australia stakeholder groups. Football Australia is building a new first party data Registration and Payments system; the role will involve building robust data pipelines to integrate data feeds into and out of this new system and create APIs for competition management providers and other data consumers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Work with the FA Digital team and build and design partners to deliver features for the Registration application.
Provide data strategy and implementation leadership across Football Australia strategic and operational initiatives.
Perform a lead role in data modelling, data engineering, ETL, ELT and CI/CD using best of breed tools and approaches.
Develop data products to support dashboards, reporting and data analysis.
Provide level 3 support for published APIs.
Ensure code contributed is fit for purpose, performant and secure.
Work with FA’s Technology team (Solution Owner / Architect, Tech Governance Lead, Program Manager, and other project team members as required)
Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
6+ years experience in Data Modelling
6+ years experience in ETL/ELT development
6+ years AWS experience (including all core services)
6+ years experience with CI/CD systems including GitHub Actions and
Automated testing experience – TravisCI, Unit tests, System tests
Follow SOLID object-orientated best practises.
Willingness to continually improve, looking for and taking advantage of
opportunities to learn new skills and develop strengths.
Experience working on consumer facing digital products and services to audiences in excess of 1m.
Agency and client-side experience beneficial
