Suomen Palloliitto is Finland's largest sports federation, which is responsible for our country's football and futsal activities and their development. DATA ENGINEERS

The position is national and temporary for two years.

As a data engineer of the Finnish Football Association, your main goal is to share information in a cost-effective, secure and flexible manner in the Finnish Football Association.

As a data engineer, your key tasks are:

Design, documentation and implementation of automated information management processes and programming interfaces that enable the sharing of information that supports decision-making
Planning, development, administration and implementation of the organization's cloud-based data pools and databases (including core database) and cloud-based data processing pipelines
You act as an expert member in the information management service team and develop internal and external information reports for production use in cooperation with the rest of the team. You report on the status of information management and act as information management support for strategic and operational information needs surveys.

You have at least experience in the extensive use of Microsoft's Azure cloud services in data management, transfer and processing, as well as extensive theoretical and practical knowledge of API technology. Relational (SQL) and other database types (NoSQL etc.) are also familiar. In addition, you are experienced and skilled in version control (Git), thorough in documentation and have knowledge and practical experience of DevOps, DataOps CI/CD principles.

For the position, we require a higher university degree in a suitable field (e.g. mathematics, natural science or engineering) and at least three (3) years of professional experience in similar positions. You are a cooperative team player who communicates fluently in Finnish and English and is proficient in programming languages ​​suitable for programmatic data processing (e.g. Python, R).
