Soccer Holdings, LLC., is the parent company of professional soccer clubs Louisville City FC (USL Championship) and Racing Louisville FC (NWSL). Both teams call Lynn Family Stadium in the Butchertown neighborhood home and operate out of the nearby Lynn Family Sports Vision & Training Center. Louisville City launched in 2015 and quickly established a winning tradition, claiming USL titles in 2017 and 2018. Racing Louisville FC joined the NWSL as an expansion member in 2021, bringing top-tier professional sports back to Kentucky for the first time in nearly 50 years. We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Data Analyst specializing in Player Recruitment & Performance. The primary responsibility of this role will be to analyze and interpret soccer data to identify talented players and evaluate their performance. This position will play a crucial role in enhancing player recruitment strategies, scouting processes, and performance evaluation methods to maintain a competitive edge. This is an on-site role based in Louisville, KY. Essential Duties: Collect, clean, and organize soccer-related data from various sources, such as match reports, player statistics, scouting reports, and performance databases.Develop data-driven models and algorithms to measure and predict player performance, potential, and suitability for specific positions or playing styles.Conduct in-depth statistical analysis and data mining to identify key performance indicators and patterns relevant to player recruitment and team performance.Collaborate with the coaching and scouting staff to define player profiles, scouting objectives, and recruitment strategies based on data insights.Provide regular reports and presentations on player performance, recruitment trends, and potential targets to support decision-making processes.Assist in designing and implementing data collection processes during matches, training sessions, and player evaluations.Stay up to date with the latest advancements in soccer analytics, player-tracking technologies, and statistical modeling techniques.Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Sports Science, or a related field.5+ years of experience working with statistics and analysis. Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (Python, R, SQL). Experience working with ticketing systems. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical analysis, data visualization, and predictive modeling.Experience working with soccer-related data, such as player statistics, match reports, or scouting reports.Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages, such as Python, R, SQL, or similar.Solid understanding of soccer tactics, player positions, and performance evaluation metrics.Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.Attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.Passion for soccer and a deep understanding of the game's intricacies.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Successful completion of a pre-employment comprehensive background check.Must be legally authorized or able to obtain authorization to work in the US. Preferred Qualifications:Experience working as a data analyst or in a similar role within the sports industry, particularly soccer.Familiarity with player tracking technologies, data visualization tools, and sports performance software.Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their application to player analysis and prediction.
